We're happy to report that in phase 1 a new ultraviolet odour control system has been installed in the garbage room. On a few occasions over the years, there have been concerns with odours from the garbage room being noticeable in locations such as the lobby or outside next to the street. The new system was selected after having tested one in the building on a trial basis, and was found to be significantly more effective than the chemical-based solution we had to rely on in the past. Because the new system does not make use of chemicals, it's both a cost efficient and environmentally responsible way of cleaning the air that's ideal for buildings such as ours. Please keep in mind that even with this system, household garbage must not be left in the small room across from the elevators.
