Garage Repairs and Closure

Please be advised that: 

The Cumberland Street parking garage will be INACCESSIBLE TO ALL including: unit/owner parking,  visitor parking, bicycle storage, locker access, etc. from 7:00am on Monday, January 11th to 6:00pm on Friday, January 15th, 2010.  The Phase III George Street parking garage will remain open. 

Repairs must be made to the garage membrane throughout the garage including the ramps.  The work will be carried out by Spirito & Sons Ltd and the entire project managed by the engineering firm Trow Associates.

This work is being completed as part of the East Market Shared Facilities, and as such, any concerns or questions regarding this work should be directed to Dorothy Church, the Shared Facilities Manager. 

All vehicles must be removed from the garage by 7:00 am on Monday, January 11th, and may not re-enter the building for the duration of the work, or else remain unused and for the duration of the work. 

Cars may return to the Cumberland Street garage facility NO SOONER than 6:00 pm on January 15th. If you wish, you may leave your vehicle in the parking garage during the repairs; however, your vehicle cannot be removed at any time throughout the week that the work is being done. Again, please be reminded that there will be no visitor’s parking permitted in the Cumberland Street garage during this time as the area will not be accessible.  

Work in the high traffic areas will be completed between January 11th and January 15th and additional spot work may be required during the week of January 17th during which time the odd vehicle may need to be relocated.   

For your convenience, a list of nearby parking facilities that may be able to accommodate your vehicle is provided below.  You must make your own parking arrangements.  Any costs incurred to relocate and park your vehicle are your responsibility.  The Corporations are not responsible for any costs incurred to park your vehicle elsewhere, nor are the Corporations responsible for any damages to your vehicle while it is parked elsewhere.
