Summer Fling - A Theatrical Affair! July 14th - August 28th

This new performing arts festival running until Aug. 28 in downtown Ottawa. Consisting of nine shows in six venues, the festival is a joint effort between the Ottawa Arts Court Foundation and the Downtown Rideau Business Improvement Association.

10th Annual Art in Strathcona Park - Saturday, August 7th , 10 AM - 5 PM

This 10th annual exhibition & sale which will feature over 150 of the area’s most talented artists and artisans.  There will be a silent auction, performers, food and refreshments, BBQ etc.
This is a fundraising and public awareness event sponsored by Mental Illness Caregiver Association with proceeds going to the Ottawa Chapter, Schizophrenia Society of Ontario.  Free admission.

One-day depot for household hazardous waste - August 7

Ottawa - The City of Ottawa is hosting a one-day household hazardous waste collection depot from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 7 at the Robert O. Pickard Environmental Centre (ROPEC), 800 Green Creek Drive, north of Highway 174, west of Montreal Road exit, in the Canotek Business Park.
This depot provides a convenient way for you to help keep the environment free of hazardous household waste. For a complete listing of acceptable household hazardous waste, visit the City’s website at ottawa.ca/hhw.
