Re:Air Conditioning
There probably is a difference in thermostat controls among the three phases, however in ours (phase 3) we also have to set it lower to obtain the desired temperature. But in phase 3, our experience is that if it is set too low, then hot air comes out. This is probably due to the fact that only in phase 3 is there a 4 pipe system instead of 2 pipe as in phases 1 and 2.

Re:Air Conditioning
In our unit (Phase 1), we have noticed a 3 degree (minimum) difference between the thermostat reading and the actual "middle of the room temperature". If we want the room temperature at 21 degrees, the thermostat must be set at 18 degrees!

Re:Air Conditioning
Hello, Phase 3 air conditioning has been on since the first week of April. If it is not working in your unit, you should notify Mariano or Rory Gooderham, our current Property Manager, to have it looked at. Just a reminder - the thermostat control should be in the "on" position, and the temperature should NOT be set too low (20 degrees or a little higher is good), otherwise the opposite happens - warm air will come out. Re:Air Conditioning
Any word on Phase III AC? My friend on the second floor has AC, but I don't on the 18th, apparently. Really not too pleased seeing as I can't sleep due to excessive heat (and no wind through the windows).

Re:Demolition of 356 Cumberland Street
While it will be a bit noisy and dusty with the demolition of 356, I think this is great news - I was wondering when this was going to start. The empty parking lot filled with wind blown garbage and the old run down housing across from phases 1/2 is a real eye sore. The new lofts will be a great improvement for our community. Check out the website: http://360lofts.ca/site/ Thanks for the update Mahalo!

Re:Air Conditioning
Steve, Please note that on April 14th, an East Market Bulletin for Phase 1 & 2 said: "Upcoming HVAC and A/C Work Please be advised that we are currently scheduling the switch over from heating to cooling, as well as the filter replacements in each of your units. Further details will be sent out in a memo shortly." Still awaiting the filters, the switch-over to air conditioning or the updated memo! Our unit is very hot too (Phase 1).

Air Conditioning

I moved into my unit in phase 2 in January so I've only been here during the winter. I was just wondering when the AC was getting turned on in the building? it's been so hot in my place for the last month.

Thanks,

Steve

Re:Custom Blinds
I also own Spire2 unit and had custom blinds installed at time of construction. This was done by Blinds Depot and Decor. I have the full length (roller) kind (30% sun blockage). I believe it cost approx. $3000 but this was about 5 years ago now.
