The demolition of 356 Cumberland Street is set to begin in 6 to 8 weeks.

While it will be a bit noisy and dusty with the demolition of 356, I think this is great news - I was wondering when this was going to start. The empty parking lot filled with wind blown garbage and the old run down housing across from phases 1/2 is a real eye sore. The new lofts will be a great improvement for our community. Have you heard anything further about this? It's been a few months, but no sign of activity there.

For those who are curious on the status of the new condominium project across the street on Cumberland, currently it is awaiting the permit from the City of Ottawa to go ahead, and they then plan to begin work immediately.
